Griffon

The griffon is amoung the most recognized mythical beasts.

The front half of its body resembles an eagle, while the back half comes from a lion. An eagle's talons serve as the griffon's front legs, and its wings are strong enough to lift a horse off the ground. Its bird-like head bears shining feathers, gleaming eyes, and a powerful beak. the end of its lion-tail has feathers pluming from it, to give the griffon more control when flying.
