Cyclops

Cyclops

Cyclopes are one-eyed giants from Greek mythology.

In the tales of Odysseus, a cyclops named Polyphemus imprisoned Odysseus and his men within the cave where it lives. After it ate several of his men, Odysseus and his remaining crew carved a point into the end of a log and used it to blind the giant so they may escape.

This cyclops carries a large tree over its shoulder as if preparing to use it as a club. Its body is riddled with bandages, scars, and arrows from past encounters with armed foes. The knuckles on its left hand are thoroughly bruised as if the Cyclops had recently punched something hard.

According to some beliefs, cyclopes are able to see the future.
